Quality Assurance Analyst
pVelocity, a Toronto-based global software company is in the process of expanding its technical team.
We are looking for an individual who has the entrepreneurial spirit and desire to make a tangible difference to improve the operations of our clients, who are large, multinational manufacturers.
We are looking for an individual who is self-supervised, agile and creative to function in a QA role.
This individual should possess the following characteristics:

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring proper testing of features and defects.
- Create/Update/Review/Execute manual test cases
- Create/Update/Review/Execute automated UI and API test cases
- Respond to reported field problems by verifying where appropriate the changes supplied by development.
- Investigate reported problems to provide more comprehensive information to the developers for bug fixing.
- Provide estimates for test activities that will be incorporated into the QA/Development project plan.
- Track and report on test results
- Participate in defect management process
The required skill set includes:
- Microsoft SQL Server including the T-SQL language
- HTML and Browser testing experience
- Usability know-how
- Scripting skills that can be applied to test automation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent ability to work with a team
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies, methodologies, QA processes and business rules
